Our Services

  • If you see a large cluster of bees hanging from a tree branch, fence, or even your porch, you’re witnessing one of nature’s most fascinating sights — a honey bee swarm. Swarming is a natural part of a healthy hive’s life cycle. It’s how bees expand their colonies. While swarms may look intimidating, honey bees are usually very docile during this time — they’re simply looking for a new home.

At T.J’s Bees, we love our bees — and we’re committed to keeping them (and you!) safe. If you spot a swarm on your property, don’t panic or reach for chemicals. We offer free honey bee swarm collection in our local area. Our experienced beekeepers will safely remove the swarm and relocate it to one of our managed apiaries, where the bees can continue to thrive.

While in most cases we can remove swarms for free, there are times when we may need to cut out flooring, drywall, or roofing in order to safely remove the bees. In this case we will write an estimate for our services and recommend a local contractor to make any necessary repairs.

  • Ever dreamed of having your own beehive, but not sure where to start? Our Host a Hive program lets you enjoy all the benefits of backyard beekeeping — fresh local honey, stronger pollination for your garden, and the joy of helping honey bees thrive — while we handle the hard part.

    What do you get?

A Complete Beehive: We provide everything — the hive, bees, and all the equipment they need to flourish.
Professional Care: Our experienced beekeepers manage your hive year-round. We handle inspections, health checks, feeding, and treatments if needed — always with the bees’ well-being in mind.
Regular Updates: After every inspection, you’ll get a friendly report so you can follow along with your bees’ progress.
Delicious Rewards: Enjoy a share of the pure, raw honey harvested from your own hive each season!
Optional Bear Protection: We offer sturdy bear fencing solutions to keep your hive safe from curious wildlife.

  • At T.J’s Bees, we believe the best way to protect and support honey bees is by sharing our knowledge and passion with the community. We love bees—and we think you will too! That’s why throughout the year, we offer engaging educational opportunities designed for all ages and experience levels.

From free introductory workshops to immersive, hands-on experiences working with live bees, our goal is to inspire curiosity, build awareness, and foster a deeper connection with the natural world. Whether you want to learn the basics of beekeeping, explore the vital role bees play in our ecosystem, or simply enjoy a fun and interactive activity, we have something for you.

We welcome school clubs, recreational groups, businesses, and organizations of all kinds. If your group would like to discover more about the fascinating world of honey bees, contact us today to start planning your educational experience!
